Joe Seeney

Drama and English Literature - BA (Hons)

I am a Norwich-based actor, writer and director currently studying at ARU to pursue a career in creative living. As a performer, my first serious role was as Doody in Sprowston Community High School’s production of ‘Grease’ which was highly regarded for being performed to a professional standard. That same year, I participated as a chorus member for both The Maddermarket’s production of ‘Oliver!’ and Norwich Theatre Royal’s ‘Anything Goes’.

At ARU, I have played the role of Thomas Helmer in ‘Nora, A Doll’s House’, Princess Elwyna in ‘The Jewel of Many Powers’ and multiple roles in my own abridged version of ‘Macbeth’. Most recently I have been playing supporting roles in the ‘It’s a Drama Thing’ festival of performance, as well as directing my own augmented version of ‘Woyzeck’. I also run my own independent storytelling outlet, ‘Creaky Door in the Night Productions’, a short film enterprise dedicated to stories pertaining to the spooky and bizarre.
