Claudia Melton
Illustration and Animation - BA (Hons)
Claudia is an animator, specialising in 2D/character based animation, using digital mediums such as TV Paint and ToonBoom. She loves to make work about people - their habits and thoughts and curiosities, using striking graphic styles, and primary colours (just about anywhere she can get away with it).
Her recent graduate film, Nowt Queer As Folk, explores the peculiar behaviours of families and their dynamics, through charming character animation and genuine sound footage of regional accents.
Claudia works well under a tight brief, and sees her creative skills being best put to use in commercial and advertisement animation - somewhere in which a simple idea needs to be conveyed succinctly and creatively. She is looking forward to becoming part of a team and solving creative problems.
