We live in a busy non-stop world and taking time out for yourself to do nothing is undervalued. This is an investigation into exploring pattern design and it’s possibility to communicate the topical issue of mindfulness, which is now even more prevalent in these unprecedented lockdown times.
These pattern experiments explore whether mindfulness can be expressed and communicated through design and address the need to slow down, take time out, be more present and become calmer. This then took the form of a physical book which explains the science and evidence behind the benefits of pattern design and it’s connection with mindfulness.
