Criminology - BA (Hons)

I recently achieved a first-class BA (Hons) degree in Criminology from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. In 2012, I qualified as an Advanced Accounting Technician (AAT) and since 2014 I have worked as the UK Financial Manager for Transatlantic Translations Limited, a global translation company. I recently moved to my newly constructed house near Cambridge, which I project-managed during my final year at university.

During my career, I have worked primarily at senior management level, where I have made use of my ability to organise, adapt and work at pace to maximise company profits and control expenditure. I have helped construct bespoke multi-currency accounting software and implemented new accounting systems into several organisations from a number of different industries. While my career has mainly focused on a financial role, I also have experience of HR in terms of employee contracts, payroll, pension and conciliation of disputes as well as working with vulnerable adults and children in Cambridge as part of the senior management team at a children’s centre.

I regard honesty, dedication and resourcefulness to be my most valuable qualities, and prides myself on being flexible and a strong leader. I am ambitious and driven whilst always seeking to facilitate others to achieve their personal goals. I have a particular interest in human trafficking and modern slavery and am now striving to expand my career and use my degree within the criminological arena or a related industry.
