Fine Art - BA (Hons)
Questioning consumerism and why society has an embodied relationship to material objects is fundamental to my practice. My ideas are explored through printmaking, collage and natural pigment inks and have expanded into 3D form. The use of waste materials and biodegradable methods is a recognition of broader social and ecological concerns, within the working process that is fully sustainable. In developing installations with symbolic meaning, my artwork has a physicality that questions authenticity, provenance, impermanence and draws attention to spatial awareness within a site – responsive space.
My work resonates in the context of Arte Povera, and with artists Joseph Beuys and Cornelia Parker.
