Abigail Geary's creative medium is based mostly around the use of oil painting and sculpture; she appreciates the realism in almost everything around her so bases her focus around imitating and developing that. With influences such as Francisco Goya, Francis Bacon, and Ruth Speer, she looks into the gothic and beautiful to create art that involves and affects the audience’s senses and perception of what life is.
Her most recent practice involves mixed media and the representation of mental health, technology, and medication. She depicts this through the use of 3D forms made from plaster moulds she has created.
