My practice uses a traditional approach to painting in oil and acrylic, and has adopted similar techniques to artists from the Renaissance or the Romantic movement. I like seeing how my works unravel with each brush stroke, slowly creating a full image on the canvas. The reference to classical art, with ideas for compositions coming from people around me, is fed by my family and friends, and from acquaintances, where I ask for their dreams or ideas of places they have imagined. These are used as the basis for developing new compositions, which help describe one’s persona in an artistic way; to possibly see through them, through me, through the painting.
