Marta Onofre

Graphic Design - BA (Hons)

Marta Onofre was born in Portugal in 1995 and has been doing a BA Graphic Design at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge since 2016, graduating in 2020.

She enjoys doing any graphic design project, and is passionate about her work, getting involved in it with heart and soul; but she has a special delight and joy for graphic design in film and TV, prop making and old printing techniques.

During her time on the degree she developed an interest in how graphic design can be used for film making. She started to explore that area and to look at works from other designers like Miraphora Mina, Eduardo Lima, Annie Atkins and Kathy Heaser. They gave her inspiration to do her own work.

Techniques, colour combinations, certain details and the designs enthuse her about her own work. She is also passionate about cats and antique/vintage objects. They make her imagine what stories they have and can tell us, what they have been through, what have they “seen”. They are also a great source of inspiration when creating her work.
