Hi. This is Thea..
I’m an illustrator as well as a children's picturebook maker. Growing up in a small city by the sea, I spent most of my childhood playing on the beach and of course in the salty water. So when stepping into the drawing world, I naturally carry this spirit of play with me, passionate about experimenting new possibilities. For me, drawing is much like cooking: mix the ingredients and let the magic happen.
My work is poetic, metaphorical, subtly humorous, and rich with details and textures. Concept books, non-fiction books and interactive game books are my favorite genres.
Besides this, I’m also working as an experience designer, especially interested in design for kids. My dual professional backgrounds, illustration and design, enable me to create intriguing content for children while taking holistic using and reading experience into account.
