Illustration - BA (Hons)

Originally from North Wales, I came to Cambridge in 2018 to study at Cambridge School of Art, to develop my illustration skills/knowledge. Throughout the course I have experimented greatly and discovered my love for papercut in my final year. I enjoy working on a variety of aspects, from the illustration to the type, and design/layout.

The process of making has become just as important to me as the final illustration, as this is the part where I am able to experiment and learn, and therefore become a better illustrator. I enjoy the process of papercut, from a sketch, my idea comes to life by the colours and depth, coming a 3D set, and once photographed it becomes a 2D image again. The photography aspect is a whole new process, and can really transform a set, and is a new whole skillset in itself. I feel my journey as a papercut artist has only just begun, and I'm looking forward to where this journey will take me.
