I, Steven Goodison joined this Illustration and Animation course three years ago to acquire the tools, skills and experience necessary to create a final animated short film that I would be proud of. The culmination of that goal and three years of working towards that goal is ‘Wee Shadows’. A Scottish gothic animated musical about the resurrection men of enlightenment era Edinburgh and their efforts and eventually spiritual struggle to steal a body. ‘If I aimed for Wee Shadows’ to be anything, I was aiming for it to be truly original. I don’t believe that many people have made their final short about the moral consequences of corpse desecration. With two great pieces of music provided by Petr Ivanov, ‘Wee Shadows’ would not be what it is without him and his wonderful music.
