Kimran Dhanoa
Graphic Design - BA (Hons)
I am graphic designer from London. My hobby for design started at the age of 15, creating both personal design projects and commission work for clients. In 2016 my Instagram was an outlet for my work which attracted thousands of followers, therefore allowing me to delve into creating and selling merchandise and prints. My approach for design and branding is a minimal clean aesthetic with a strong study of negative space, typographic pairings, and imagery. As a creative I have always taken inspiration from everyday life along with my passion for the fashion industry and my own creative knowledge and intuition.
For the student Present 2021 exhibition, I have decided to showcase my brand identity for Desturi Safari a live project set by Onespacemedia.
Desturi Safari is a luxury niche tour operator that provides bespoke holidays and services in Africa. Combining 30 years of experience, local knowledge and strong relationships with lodges, guides, and other stakeholders. The organisation operates at the higher end of the market and its niche lies in its personalised service – working with its clients to create tailor-made and luxury experiences which are logistically complex to arrange.
The logo was designed with the idea of a handwritten logotype to add a friendly personal touch to the brand, making the logo diverse by adding that special bespoke quality to it.
This brand identity consists of logo development, brand colours, patterns, website and social media assets, merchandise, business stationary, business cards, information leaflets, livery, and ammonites. Along with the visual identity, a set of brand guidelines were created to cover all aspects of the new visual identity and the commercial application rules for the client.
