Jenna May Borley
Illustration and Animation - BA (Hons)
Jenna is an enthusiastic Illustration and Animation BA (Hons) graduate with a head full of quirky ideas. After three years being absorbed in creating animations, she has become most passionate about animating in 2D and 3D stop motion. Traditional hand drawn, paper cut and digital work are but a few styles of animation she now has much experience of.
Having an Illustrative eye has helped Jenna develop a core understanding of how to turn image and narrative into movement, giving her a solid foundation of essential principles to draw upon.
Jenna feels it’s important to advocate joy through visual communication. Her graduate short film ‘Changing Tack’ aims to entertain all ages and distract attention away from the dispiriting news presented by today’s media. Being a positive artist with a ‘can do’ attitude, she opted to tackle this short using a method of animating previously unknown to her, that of hand drawn animation re-filmed using stop motion.
She enjoys having experimental adventures whilst creating my animations and desire to animate BIG. She hopes you enjoy her work as much as she enjoyed creating it.
