For her Major Project, Laura has been exploring the subject of Coeliac disease, creating a poster-led campaign showing the positive aspects of being diagnosed with the illness. The campaign is made up of a series of posters, along with a campaign guideline book.

Coeliac disease is an illness where the body's immune system attacks its own tissues on the consumption of gluten. Laura wanted to create a campaign spinning the symptoms of the disease into a positive, by emphasising how they aren't due to the illness after diagnosis. For example, a common symptom of Coeliac disease is tiredness, but after switching to a gluten free lifestyle the tiredness is no longer caused by the illness, but instead by doing things you enjoy.

She felt it was important to shine a positive light on the subject, and therefore aimed to create a campaign which shows Coeliac disease as a positive, showing that you can live well gluten-free.
