Tasha Manning
Fine Art - BA (Hons)
Tasha's art practice is based in painting, acknowledging the interrelation of visual language with the painterliness of oil on canvas. By focusing on the key formal elements of space, shape, line, form and composition, employing a subtle colour palette, she addresses the process of her artwork concentrating on reductionism.
In addition to the physicality of production and its continual development, her practice relates to the visceral, which is examined through the abstract distinction identified in each painting.
Her artwork is formed from primary-sourced imagery, a combination of drawing and painting, which investigates the dialogue between the architectural and experiential, through observation into a contemporary painting context. She explores the self in a space that critically engages with the phenomenology of architecture.
