Andrei Panait

As a cinematographer Andrei is always trying to create or, in some cases, to capture an atmosphere. He believes that the best way to do this is by experimenting and seeing every film with fresh eyes. Throughout the years Andrei found filmmakers like Jim Jarmusch or Wong Kar Wai inspiring because of their mixtures of genre and filmmaking techniques, that feel like they are encapsulating the entire world of their characters. While trying to achieve something similar during his time in university, Andrei worked in a lot of formats, varying from digital to 16 mm to interactive films. From these experiences, he has learned a lot about what film can be and has decided to further my knowledge in cinematography.
