Fashion - BA (Hons)
Having a British father and Thai mother allows Sutree to visualize the world from two different cultural perspectives and to fuse the two together to create artworks which resonate across two continents while having a unique identity of their own.
Her father used to work within the commercial interior wallpapering industry. This was her first introduction to the world of design and print and created a passion within her for the creativity of prints. Throughout her childhood, She was constantly designing and drawing pattern.
Most of her print inspiration comes from the likes of William Morris, Anni Albers (an artist from the Bauhaus Movement), and in later days Orla Keely, who used her prints on various items which shows that print can be used on anything. Sutree was intrigued as to how these sort of prints could be used for fabric printing and fashion design.
Sutree has just completed her course in Fashion Design at Cambridge School of Arts (ARU) #Classof2020! She is very excited about her career pathway and her journey as a designer in the future that is waiting for her.
