Kirsty Mather is an illustrator based in Cambridge, UK. Graduating from Cambridge School of Art with an Illustration & Animation BA (Hons) degree.
Kirsty loves to create work that celebrates historical dress, having previously studied textiles at GCSE level, IB History & Film, and Visual Communications Level 3 at college. Her final project reflects her skills and passion for this area.
Combining her love of history with her love for fashion, she created a paper doll book that explores the history of clothing and specifically compares the similarities and differences between upper and working class garments over the past 250 years. Aimed at children, this book is not only fun and imaginative but also an educational tool offering insight into a fascinating aspect of social history.
